OEN Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is important to OEN. We strive to keep your personal information confidential. By ensuring that you are aware of and understand the OEN Privacy Policy, we can provide you with better service. Please take a moment to read the following policy to learn how we handle your personal information.
Why we collect personal information
OEN collects two types of information: personal data such as zip code, email address and demographic information from its members; and aggregated data such as information about traffic patterns from visitors at oen.org (for example, how many users log on to oen.org on a daily basis). We use your personal information to keep you up to date on the latest event announcements and other information we think you’d like to hear about. We send you this information via both electronic and direct mail. We use aggregated data to help manage your experience on our web site and to help us create a more useful web experience for visitors to oen.org.
When we disclose personal information
OEN occasionally shares the contact information of its members with other non-profit organizations in order to keep you informed about other relevant events and programs in the business community. We only share such information if we can use a bonded third-party that agrees not to disclose this information to any one or any organization. They will protect your personal information in accordance with the OEN Privacy Policy.

How we protect your personal information
OEN safeguards the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic, and managerial procedures. We urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Change your passwords often, use a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure browser.
OEN uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required. To pay for events or membership in OEN on this site, you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Netscape Navigator 3.0 or later, Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or Safari. This protects the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information while it is transmitted over the Internet.
Access to your personal information
You always have access to the information we track about you. To review and update your personal contact information, simply click “My Account” under the “Members Only” menu . If you would like to review other personal information that OEN may have about you, email us at info@oen.org.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. Any web site can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it; however, to protect your privacy, your browser only permits a site to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not those sent to you by other sites. When you visit the OEN on the web, our site asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies.
How do we use information we collect from cookies?
As you navigate the OEN site, the site uses its cookies to differentiate you from other visitors so your personal information is only available to you. If we are going to use your personal information differently from that stated at the time of collection, we will try to contact you via email using the most recent information we have. If you have not given us permission to communicate with you, you will not be contacted, nor will we use your personal information in a new manner.
OEN’s Privacy Policy is subject to change at any time. We encourage you to review the privacy policy regularly for any changes.
OEN Refund Policy
In the event you cannot attend an OEN program or event for which you have registered and paid, we can process a refund on the condition you request it at least one week prior to the event. Refunds will be credited back to the credit or debit card with which you originally used to pay for the program or event. Cancellations during the seven days prior to an event or program will not receive a refund.
Members of OEN join the organization by paying a modest annual fee. We do not offer refunds once members have paid this fee.
